BIG CITY 101.3FM, began broadcasting in January of 2007. With so little variety and/or cultural diversity on the air-waves in Boston, Big City was the brainchild of 2 incredibly talented West Indian-American men and one of their first ideas was to make a caribbean radio station with high quality programming not available through traditional commercial media outlets.> > Realizing that the entire urban format as a whole had little to no representation, the creators maintained a stronger focus on the community as a whole and it was then that Big City emerged. Dedicated to the Boston community, Big City is now one of New England's premier radio stations and was one of the first urban stations in the area. With it's large variety of SOCA, Reggae, Hip Hop and R&B, Big City has quickly become one of Boston's most listened-to local radio stations.
