David "Cadillac" Martin, a native of Tinidad & Tobago, Attended Boston's Emerson College from 1987-1991. He studied radio communications.  During his time at Emerson College, David worked at WERS 88.9 FM and interned WILD 1090 AM.  David was inspired by his work at WERS and WILD, and in 1990, he started his own program, The Caribbean connection, on 1600AM.  Boston Magazine rated The Caribbean Connection as one of the greatest Caribbean program that ever happened to the city of Boston.  And by 1992, he had moved his radio program to WRCA 1330 Am.  Today, David has joined the Big City family at 101.3 FM.

David is the producer and director for the Caribbean Connection.  He uses his show as a training ground for interns who want to learn the business of radio programming.  Because of his unique specialty for sales and marketing, he is constantly asked to produce advertising for businesses.  He also uses his talent as a voiceover artist, produce commercial advertising for The Caribbean Connection.

Along with the many hats that he wears for his radio program, David is also very much involved in the community.  He is a founder the of the annual Cambridge Carnival, which began in 1993, and is still produced annually.  His remarkable efforts have not gone unnoticed.  In the 1990's, the Mayor of Cambridge, Kenneth E. Reeves, gave David the key to the city, for his efforts at promoting Caribbean culture.  The Cambridge Carnival helps to promote the wonderful diversity of Cambridge and Boston, which David delieves is a great asset to both cities.

Producer, director, artist, humanitarian, David Martin (better known as "Cadillac") is still running after all these years.
